"The school’s vision that ‘Our children become the rocks upon which a better world can be built’, is reflected in the sense of community that pervades the school." (Ofsted report January 2025)

Welcome to Wootton St. Peter’s C of E Primary School. I am very pleased that you would like to know more about our wonderful school in Wootton village, near Abingdon, Oxfordshire. We are a small primary school with 90 pupils on roll, aged from 3 to 11. We pride ourselves on the strong sense of community in the school and the emphasis we place on putting positive relationships at the heart of all we do. Our engaging curriculum provides our children with the skills, knowledge and opportunities they need to succeed during their time with us and beyond.

"This is a happy school, where all pupils, including pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), achieve well. The school is ambitious for what pupils will experience. Pupils benefit from having their needs well known and met by staff." (Ofsted report January 2025)

Our team is committed and works hard to ensure that all of our children are safe, happy and reaching their full potential.

"Social times are joyous and safe.............Throughout the school, there are warm and productive relationships between pupils and staff.." (Ofsted report January 2025)

We are determined to provide all our children with a high quality education so they leave the school inquisitive and with a lifelong joy of learning.

"Lesson times are calm and purposeful..........Across the curriculum, the school has identified the knowledge that pupils need to know and in what order. This is especially secure in core subject areas, where the sequence of key knowledge is coherently designed and built upon from the early years onwards."

We hope this website gives you a feel of our school but please come and see for yourselves through a visit where I will welcome you, give you a tour and answer any questions. Paper copies of information available on the website can be requested by parents free of charge.
