Find out about our school's links with YuYing Primary School in China.

Ours is a small village school situated in the old village of Wootton at the foot of Boars Hill. Our (approximately) one hundred pupils are divided between four mixed-age classes. Children join us in the September following their fourth birthday and leave us when they are 11.

Our experienced and dedicated staff provide a caring and stimulating environment reflected both in the contents of our Ofsted report (March 2009) and SIAS report (April 2009).

Many of our parents play an active part in the life of our school as either members of our parents association, the Friends of Wootton School or as Governors.
" The comment of one parent sums up the many positive views of the majority of parents when saying, 'My son is flourishing in a great environment'." (Ofsted 2009)
Visits from prospective parents are always very welcome. Our Contacts page provides details of how to arrange an appointment.

Thanks to the work of the Friends of Wootton School there are three 'buses' of sixteen laptops for full class use with broadband internet connection. The interactive whiteboards and projectors installed in all classes have proved invaluable.

Our younger children benefit from an ‘Early Years Garden’, in addition to the variety of shared outdoor play areas. When the children returned in September 2010 they found the beautiful newly installed Outdoor Classroom and just before Christmas of the same year classes 1 and 2 moved into their wonderful newly enlarged and improved rooms. During 2011 the front area of the school was reconstructed with a new and more secure entrance hall, a transformed staff room, much-needed office space, a sick room and a confidential area.

Our other policies are available from our policies page.
