Good links with the church and the local community enrich the curriculum and provide benefits for

Wootton School is at the heart of its community. Our close relationship with St. Peter's means that the church offers support wherever possible. A number of parishoners are governors, reading and maths counsellors. Many other local residents are in school on a regular basis - often many yeas after their own children have left! The school also offers other regular activities including:

The availability of the school hall for hire for out of hours activities such as the Church quiz night
Harvest boxes distributed to the older village folk by year 6 children
There is a weekly free Toddler Music group
The older village members are invited to our nativity production and afterwards to tea
Junior musical productions are open to all members of the community
We offer carols by candlelight as we break up for Christmas
The annual Ascension Day walk
The school makes regular contributions to the local village newsletter
A number of highly successful quiz nights and promises auctions have been held
Our annual Christmas Bazaar and Summer Fun Day provide a real attraction for everyone
